What We Do

HOPE is an essential factor for those who have been paralyzed and are working to restore their lives. The Paralysis Recovery Foundation provides support to non-profit clinics around the country which offer continued, affordable, skilled therapy to individuals suffering from paralysis to ensure that this hope is never lost.

We are always growing the family of clinics which we support. If you represent a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on the treatment of individuals with paralysis, and you would like to join our network, contact us today!

Meet the Clinics

NEUROWORX

How do you describe a facility whose treatment model is based on what the individual needs to improve rather than the amount of care allowable by insurance? Most would say that such a model could never exist and that the idea is 'just plain crazy'.

Neuroworx co-founders Jan Black and Dale Hull have heard variations on both themes. Yet, ten years after starting a specialized nonprofit physical therapy clinic for paralysis, the model is not only viable, but is flourishing.

This choice of superior outcomes over optimal revenue has garnered thanks from the individuals and their families devastated by catastrophic circumstances as well as support from many who see the benefit of this

do-the-right-thing philosophy.

NEUROHOPE

The injured and their families find themselves in an ICU confronted with a reality that they never dreamed could happen. As they move to a rehabilitation hospital, begin physical therapy, and eventually are discharged the shock wears off, but the need for help continues as recovery evolves and new complications arise.

NeuroHope strives to make long-term access to cutting-edge rehabilitation a reality. The NeuroHope mission extends beyond rehab. We are devoted to bettering the lives of those living with paralysis by offering continuing, activity-based rehabilitation and specialized wellness programs.

NEXTSTEPS

Next Steps was the first free standing, non-profit physical therapy and exercise facility devoted to the rehabilitation and overall wellness of people living with some of the most challenging and devastating injuries and disorders – SCI, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and an array of other devastating neurological conditions.

NextSteps is devoted to offering patients an exercise/rehabilitation facility that will aid them in taking their next step towards a functional, independent, and healthy lifestyle. NextSteps is committed to helping patients regain a higher quality of life, while integrating and conducting scientific research in hopes of finding a cure for paralysis.
